Highlights

One would think that computers are linear and logical but sometimes that is not the case, especially when problems arise. Some problems are very easy to fix. Others, involve a lot of detective work, much like solving a puzzle. Luckily, very luckily, I like detective work and I like solving puzzles. Webgrrls International is a group of very technically savvy women, and with Webgrrls around the world as our users, there is a lot of pressure to execute incredibly well.

Another exciting thing about being involved in technology right now is that there is no longer the barrier of proximity. We can now have clients anywhere in the world. Technology has also allowed me to work with and find and hire people whom I have never met.

The breaking down of the barriers of proximity also presents an issue of outsourcing. If someone can contact me and hire me from Seattle, They can contact and hire someone from anywhere in the world and possibly for less money…so it might be a double edged sword. Technology people nowadays have to compete for work with people from all over the world and the competition is getting fierce!
